Get to know me!

My name is Valerie Porche and I am a fifth grade ELA and Social Studies teacher. I have been teaching for seven years, and recently decided to go back to school to get my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I absolutely love what I do. Teaching has always been my calling, but it is my second career. I originally became a Radiologic Technologist and worked in the medical field for 12 years. I decided to go back to school at 40 years old, and I am so glad I did. I believe that teaching is one of the most important professions in the world, and I went back to school to learn all that I can in order to be the best teacher I can be!
